I have unpaid toll bills totaling nearly $30,000 (a relatively small portion as a result of toll charges and nearly 95% from late fees and charges attached to said tolls). I was not able to pay my tolls because I was laid off but when I found work several months later I contacted the North Dallas Toll Authority to make payment arrangements but they informed me no arrangements could be maid and the entire amount was due ASAP. Needless to say, I was unable to pay the bill in its entirety and now I have a warrant out for my arrest keeping me from attaining work.
Answer.
The warrant will be issued by one of the local Justices of the Peace. Find out what court that is. An attorney can post a bond on the warrant and set the case for court. At the court setting, a representative from the North Texas Tollway Authority will be present and can discuss settlement of the total balance due.
