My brother got stopped last year according to the officer he didnt make a stop therefore he also got searched and had like an ounce of marijuana so he was taken to custody. He was released within hours with a bail and nothing has happened after that but he can not get jobs due to that history. What do you recommend
Answer
The statute of limitations for misdemeanor cases in Texas is 2 years, but an expunction can be filed after one year from the date of the offense. Have a local attorney do a little investigation; contact the DA in the county where the arrest was made and see if any objection to the expunction would be made.
