Asked 8/8/2016 – Weslaco, TX

I was on a long road trip back home in Texas and I was pulled over for speeding in a small town by a local officer. I wasn’t paying attention and few hours later right before I got home I was pulled over again by a state trooper and received another ticket. I have only gotten one ticket before which was over a year ago and I did not try to fight it , I ended up paying it. What should i do in order to try and minimize the situation and possible prevent both of them from being on my record?

Answer

Contact local attorneys in each of the counties where the tickets are pending to see what can be done to keep these matters from appearing as convictions. The local Bar Association in each county is a good place to start.
