Asked 3/15/2016 – Pasadena, TX

Got 3 traffic tickets. If I get proof of the 3 things I was cited for will I still have to pay the whole fine amounts? Or if I get a traffic ticket lawyer will I still have to show proof of the 3 things I was cited for ?

Answer

Depends on the violation. If you did NOT have insurance on the date of the ticket, obtaining new insurance will not cause the dismissal of the charge. Registration and Inspection violations depend on how long your vehicle was out of compliance. Other equipment violations vary. Get compliance, then speak with local counsel.
