Asked 7/12/2016 – Boerne, TX
I am on bond restriction set by the judge and one of the restrictions was not to have any contact with the victim who happens to be my ex-husband. Things went crazy this last Saturday night and I called for deputies. They came out, talked to my husband and then me and asked me if he was living with me and I said no. My husband told them he had been there since October 2015. What I meant to tell the officer and he didn’t give me a chance to before pressing charges on me and breaking one of my bond restrictions is that he comes and he goes. My ex-husband is on meth and is verbally abusive to me so he stay on my property but up at a shop on the property. So, regardless the deputy has filed large charges on me for lying and breaking one of my bond restrictions.
Answer
If you violated a condition of your bond, the Judge has the power to revoke your bond, issue a warrant for your arrest and have you sit in jail until your case is resolved. The bond restrictions were on YOU. Stay away means stay away, not stay away except for your ex’s shop on the property or unless he is on meth. Contact your attorney.
