He has been in prison before.

Answer

Possession of cocaine of less than a gram is usually a state jail felony, punishable by a fine of up to $10,000, confinement in a state jail facility from 180 days to 2 years, or a maximum probationary period for up to 10 years. With prior convictions, however, the State has the option to enhance the punishment range in your husband’s case. You will have to speak with his attorney to determine what charges he is actually facing.
