Asked 9/20/2016 – Fort Worth, TX

I am on felony probation, I completed my drug court and aftercare 17 months ago. I have been fine with probation up until a couple months ago and I have had 2 dirty u.as. my probation officer was putting me in. IOP, for treatment and when I went to her office to sign the paperwork she informed me that I wouldn’t be going because the senior court officer didn’t want me to and he wants me to report to his office to discuss my UA’s? Is this really an appointment to arrest me?

Answer

Any probation officer has the authority to arrest you, so a senior officer is not required to take you into custody. This does not mean you are off the hook. The probation department is reviewing your case regarding your probation violations, and a motion to revoke your probation is still an option. You do not have a lot of options at this point. Meet with the senior probation officer. The PROBABLE question for probation is whether to send you to in-patient or out-patient treatment. Good luck>
