I need help my husband has a criminal organization charge and a mischief. He already had his court and they dismissed his criminal organization charge and gave him 90 days in jail for the mischief but he was credited for time served. Know heres my question why hasn’t he been released?! I called the cameron county jail and asked them and they told me the court hasn’t send nothing about the criminal organization charge. I’ve been calling his lawyer and they never answer… What can i do?…. His court was on march 11 and its already the 14th….

Answer

Go to the courthouse. Obtain a copy of the dismissal order on the organized crime charge. Bring the order to the jail. Ask the jailer when your husband will be released. Contact a civil rights attorney in your county about a claim for illegal detention
