Will an offender be released on their projected release date?

My husband got denied for parole a couple weeks ago and he in under parole review again. His projected release date is May 1. Would he be released on that day or would they have to approve him for parole? And if he is approved for parole, will he be released and be on parole for the rest of his sentence?

Answer

It is not guaranteed your husband will be released on his projected release date. He is still under review for parole and must be approved first before he is released. You may go through the same scenario you did a few weeks ago where he was denied parole. Good luck.
