It is illegal for ANYONE to possess child pornography (Texas Penal Code Section 43.26) and it is illegal to display harmful material to a minor (Section 43.24). These are serious allegations, but if the child has made an outcry to you, you must contact officials immediately. You make speak to Child Protective Services in your area who can begin the investigation. If you DON’T report it, YOU may be charged with a criminal offense.
