Asked 7/18/17 – Dallas, TX

Received a assault by contact citation in the mail and am afraid of being arrested for warrants for traffic violations

Answer

If you have warrants outstanding for your arrest, you are subject to detention upon contact with any law enforcement official. Contact an attorney in the county where the warrants are pending to see what can be done. Warrants don’t just disappear, so you will have to deal with this situation or risk arrest at an inopportune time. Good luck
