Asked 3/22/2016 – Longview, TX

I am on 5yrs deferred adjudicated felony probation…first and only felony offense…I am going on 3 1/2 yrs into it and am trying to get off early…I know I have to complete community service and pay off all fines before going about this which I am very close to finishing. I told po my plan and she said I need to talk to the attorney that handled my case to file the petition. ( he is court appointed)

Answer

The obligation of your court appointed attorney ended when the Court accepted your plea agreement. You must retain your own attorney to request early release from probation.
