As I was getting on the highway I guess I got in front of a car that was also getting on the highway so he honks his horns nonstop at me and then gets right in front of me once were on the highway and as I’m trying to get over to the next lame he slams his brakes and I hit him bc he got right in front of me bc he was upset I got in front of him as we were getting on the ramp. I didn’t stop bc my license are suspended and I have a traffic warrant. What should I expect!? Bc he called the cops and I’m sure he told them his side of story

Answer

The criminal charge is for not stopping at the scene of an accident. It is irrelevant who caused the accident, if you are involved in one, you have a duty to stop, see if anyone is injured, then exchange insurance and personal contact information. Once the police discover the license plate number of the car you were driving,, the registered owner of the vehicle will be contacted. Make sure you speak with a local attorney before you make any statement to the police.
