Will the Texas department of motor vehicles arrest me when I go in to try to get a state id.

Hello, I have a warrant for missing court in Florida And a warrant in New York for the same thing. And my state issued id is expiring in 2 days.

Answer

If you have a valid warrant outstanding for your arrest, you are subject to be taken into custody by any law enforcement official. The Department of Public Safety qualifies as law enforcement. Contact local attorneys to resolve your warrants before you try to get your ID/license./
