Would I get in trouble for getting my girlfriend pregnant, she’s 15 I’m 21 and her parents are happy and okay with everything.

I’m 21 and my girlfriend is 15 and she is pregnant, I’m from Texas and she is from Arkansas. Her parents and mines are happy to see the new member of the family. Our parents are okay with our relationship and we want to get married.

Answer

In Texas, sexual contact between a 15 year old and a 21 year old is illegal (See Texas Penal Code Section 22.011 – Sexual Assault and Section 21.11 – Indecency with a child). The fact everybody is happy is irrelevant. The State may prosecute at its discretion if notified of the offense.
